Recently in our community and event was held entitled, "Loving God and Loving Neighbor: A Conversation among Christians and Muslims." A panel discussion between and Imam and an academic from Austin Theological Seminary was held which asserted that Islam and Christianity worship the same God. "All roads lead to the top of the mountain," it was proclaimed, meaning that all religions have some truth about God in them and thus all religions lead us eventually to God. This point of view is, of course, contrary to the historic Christian faith. The following sermon was given as a response to this event.
